As a 1999 graduate I find these reviews appalling. Perhaps the ones that have negative experiences did not commit and put in work. HOM is a behavior modification program. Change your behavior, change your life! I learned a lot about myself and dealt with my issues. Never attended an NA meeting and this past May marked 20 years clean. Until a person is ready to change their life they will always have excuses and will place the blame on others! The Executive Director, Ms. Beverly Monroe and her Assistant Liz Jones and I remain in close contact to this day although I live across the country. My kids and my parents flew from the Midwest to attend my graduation in July 1999 and for me to regain custody of my two children. I have received my undergraduate degree with some graduate work and my children have both earned their degrees as well. I appeared in a feature article in Essence Magazine where I credited ‘The House’ for my new life. I’m a business owner and do well. I owe it to The House of Metamorphosis. Yes, the residents run the house it makes people accountable for their behavior. Trust the process, it works!
I completed this program. I will say the CEO Ms Monroe really does care about the program and trying to change the lives of the residents there at HOM. I growed more than i expected myself to while here. Biggest negative was the individuals being both residents AND staff who do not deserve HOM or be there
HATE THIS SHIT BUT WORKING THA PROGRAM
