The Los Angeles Center for Alcohol and Drug Abuse (L.A. CADA) is an esteemed alcohol and drug rehabilitation center located in Los Angeles, California. Specializing in addiction and behavioral health issues, L.A. CADA offers comprehensive outpatient and trauma care services. The center is committed to providing high-quality treatment to adults, accepting Medi-Cal, and offering a sliding scale fee structure for clients without insurance.
At the 470 E. Third Street location, clients receive outpatient care. While residential care is not available on-site, clients have the option to stay at the affiliated Los Angeles Mission. The outpatient clinic provides individualized case management, and depending on the severity of the addiction, clients may be enrolled in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) which offers less flexibility and independence. Treatment includes therapy, occasional drug testing, emotion management, and educational courses. Telehealth options are available for those unable to attend in-person sessions. The program typically lasts up to 52 weeks, with progress reports provided along the way.
L.A. CADA is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), ensuring a professional standard of care throughout the program. The center is also recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and holds a state license in California.
